Jr. Kindergarten Instructor Email Phone: (715)247-4848, Ext. 701 I was born and raised in East Saint Paul, Minnesota and lived there until I attended St. Mary's University in Winona and graduated in 1999 with my bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. From there I began my career teaching 3rd grade in Excelsior, Minnesota and then in North Minneapolis until I made my way over the river to St Anne's here in Somerset. I taught there until I went on bedrest with my triplet boys in 2006 and then left teaching to be at home with them for 10 years. Tanner, Parker, and Cole were born with red hair on St. Paddy’s Day 2007. After the many months and years of the medical challenges that come with having 3 premature babies and working with one of my boys with Cerebral Palsy, I decided to share what I have learned along the way with others. During my time home with them, I worked closely as an ambassador for the Children's Miracle Network and Gillette Children's Hospital to speak to organizations and groups of kids and adults to help spread the message of how to be kind to and to treat people with disabilities. I returned to teaching in 2016 at the 4 year old Kindergarten level and fell in love. This is my first year in the Somerset School District teaching Junior kindergarten and I am already feeling that I have found my home here. During summer breaks, I work at the Hammond Community Golf Club and love the easy going vibe there and the opportunity to get to interact with different people from the communities that I have taught and lived in. I also enjoy baking, running and rearranging furniture. My favorite place to be is anywhere with my pup and my boys!
