For the second time in three years, the Somerset Boys Soccer Team has advanced to the WIAA State Tournament after defeating Lakeland on Saturday in the WIAA Sectional Final played at Medford HS. The Middle Border Conference Champions won the WIAA Regional Final on Saturday October 25th by defeating Baldwin-Woodville 6-0. The Spartans then defeated Rice Lake 4-3 on October 30th in Somerset in the WIAA Sectional Semi-Final setting up their showdown with Lakeland on Saturday.
The Spartans are the #4 seed at the State Tournament and will play #1 Catholic Memorial at 11:00 AM at Uline Park in Milwaukee on Friday November 7th.
