School Counselor Email Phone: (715)247-4848, Ext. 221 I started at Somerset High School in fall of 2020 as a High School Counselor. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Family Studies (with a minor in Speech Communication) from UW-Stout in 2013. In 2020, I received my Master of Science degree in School Counseling from St. Cloud State University. Because I love learning, I am currently completing online coursework to become a Certified Grief Counselor. Before working in education, I worked in a variety of human service fields including domestic violence/sexual assault, early childhood special education, grief group faciliation, and child care. Along with being one of the school counselors at SHS, I am also the head coach of Forensics. I was born and raised in southern Minnesota and make my home across the river in Saint Paul with my person, Andrew, and our dog, Milo. I love that we require community service to graduate because it's such an important thing to learn how to give back to your community and fellow human beings! I currently volunteer as a cake baker/decorator for an organization that provides birthday cakes for children experiencing poverty and homelessness in the Twin Cities area. Aside from baking and spending time in my kitchen, some of my favorite things include musical theatre, traveling, reading, and crafting with my Cricut. I'm so glad you're here!
